Fuel Injector Replacement in Sacramento
A sticking or leaking fuel injector shows up as a misfire, a rough idle or a fuel smell. The trick is proving it is the injector — misfires have several causes, and replacing parts by guesswork gets expensive.

Misfires get diagnosed before anything is replaced: codes are read, the coil and plug are checked, and the injector itself is tested. When an injector is the cause, it is replaced along with new seals and O-rings so the new one does not leak.
Access varies a lot between engines. On some the injectors sit right on top; on others the intake manifold has to come off first. I will tell you which yours is before quoting.
After the replacement the fuel system is primed and checked for leaks before the engine is started, and the vehicle is test-driven to confirm the misfire is gone.

Fuel Injector Replacement questions
How do you know it is the injector and not a plug or coil?
By testing. A common check is moving the coil or plug to another cylinder and seeing whether the misfire follows it. If the misfire stays put, the injector becomes the suspect.
Should all the injectors be replaced?
Not usually. If one has failed on a high-mileage engine it is worth talking about the others, but I will not replace parts that test fine.
Will a fuel system cleaner fix it?
Sometimes a cleaner helps a mildly dirty injector. It will not fix one that is leaking or has failed electrically.
