I work on driveshafts, U-joints, CV axles and boots, axle seals, and differential and transfer case fluid service. On 4x4s that extends to gear ratio changes, lockers and differential rebuilds, which have their own pages.
A vibration that grows with speed, a clunk when shifting into drive, and clicking while turning each point to a different part. The worn part gets found before quoting, so you are not paying for parts that were fine.
Lifted vehicles are hard on driveshafts and CV axles because of the steeper angles. If your truck started vibrating after a lift, the driveline angles are worth checking.

What does drivetrain work cost?
It depends on the part and the vehicle. Most jobs start at $100 — tell me the vehicle and the symptoms and I will quote it before starting.
What is the clicking when I turn?
Usually a worn CV joint, often after its boot tore and let the grease out. Caught early, it is an axle replacement rather than a breakdown.
